Reliability of Payment Confirmation from Merchant Banking Apps

Based on operational experience and user feedback, payment notifications used with merchant banking applications have shown high reliability. Cases where an audible alert was not produced have mainly been associated with the source application not issuing a notification or with the user's internet connectivity.

How reliable is payment confirmation from merchant banking applications? This is an important consideration for merchants who use audible notifications as part of their everyday payment operations. Based on actual operating experience and user feedback, the system working with Connect Hub Merchant Manager has shown a high level of stability. No complaints have been observed regarding missing audible alerts from the app-based system in cases where the source application issued the payment notification normally and the user's internet connection was functioning properly. When an audible notification has not occurred, the issue may be associated with factors outside the Connect Hub notification process. For example, the merchant banking application itself may not issue a notification for a particular transaction, or the user's internet connection may experience disruption. There have been occasional cases where a merchant banking application did not provide a notification. Based on the observed usage, however, this has occurred very rarely when used together with Connect Hub Merchant Manager. The reliability of audible payment confirmation should therefore be considered across the complete operating environment: the Connect Hub system, the notification produced by the merchant banking application, and the user's internet connectivity. These observations are based on operating experience and user feedback and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that external systems or network conditions can never experience disruption.
